PARTNERING IN BUSINESS WITH GERMANY
An instrument of the foreign trade promotion programme by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE)
PARTNERING IN BUSINESS WITH GERMANY
The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH implements the program on behalf of the BMWE. COMMIT currently runs several group programs for executives from 17 countries, including Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America. For 25 years, the program has been facilitating successful business cooperation and promoting economic exchange between Germany and the participating countries, which is increasing year on year. Over 17,000 managers have taken part in the program to date. Around 1000 more participants join the program every year.
During a six-week online phase and a two-week stay in Germany, program participants gain insights into German corporate culture and acquire skills in two areas of expertise: Business administration (management skills) in German business practice and foreign trade (cooperation skills) in relation to cooperation with German companies. Participants visit German companies on site and have the opportunity to establish direct contacts. Many program participants maintain contacts via alumni networks after their stay in Germany and at the same time serve as contacts for German companies abroad. The program is therefore an excellent opportunity for both German and foreign companies, with both sides benefiting from the transfer of skills and business contacts.
